Tournament History
The South Jersey Girls Invitation Golf Tournament was created in April 2004. The idea for this event came from the collaboration of Coach Steve Skinner of Clearview Regional High School and Coach John Ellis of Pennsgrove High School. There were only a handful of teams that had an all girls squad with most of the lady golfers being members of the high school boy’s team. We wanted to offer the Girls a competitive opportunity to compete in an all female field prior the State Girls Tournament. The first tournament had a field of 13 golfers and 3 short years the field has maxed out to 72 lady golfers. The event is 9 hole stroke format and provides an opportunity for every level of golfer.
